How do we get there?

Dulles Airport has refined its traffic plan to maximize access to the free Plane Pull event lots while providing other routes for airline passengers to reach their flights on time. Due to the airport roadway configuration, the Dulles Airport Access Highway will likely be the best approach route (click here for map). We constructed a new, direct entrance to the parking lot from the Access Highway. Please keep right and pay special attention to the event signs.

  • From 495, take exit VA-267 (toll road) West toward Dulles Airport
  • Exit left onto ramp at sign reading “Dulles Airport”
  • Continue onto the westbound Dulles Airport Access Highway
  • Once on airport grounds, KEEP RIGHT and follow electronic signs on the right to Dulles Day/Plane Pull parking
  • The parking lot will include spaces designated for disabled parking
  • Free shuttles will take you from the lot to and from the event. All shuttles are accessible for the disabled

Take the Silver Line Express train to Dulles Day

Now that Metrorail is closer to Dulles than ever, passengers riding Silver Line trains will also have access to Dulles Day by boarding a Silver Line Express bus from the Wiehle-Reston East station. On weekends, buses run every 20 minutes and fares are $5 per person, each way. When the Silver Line Express bus reaches the Airport, passengers can transfer to a free shuttle that will circulate continuously between the airport Silver Line Express stop and the Dulles Day event. The shuttles will operate from 9 am until 5 pm. The Silver Line Express will operate from 7:45 am until 10:45 pm. Cash and credit are accepted on the Silver Line Express.

Where do we go once we arrive?

Patrons who park in the Dulles Day/Plane Pull parking lot will be directed to free shuttle buses that will operate continuously between the lot and the main Dulles Day entrance gate. Buses going back to the lot will also pick up at the main entrance gate.

Volunteers and teams please refer to your informational packets for arrival instructions. They may enter on foot through gate 116 at the far end of Cargo Building 6. Volunteer and team check in will be situated at this gate.

Vendors/Exhibitors/Car Show participants may enter Dulles Day with their vehicles at gate 118 (between Cargo Buildings 5 and 6). Vendor and Car Show check in will be situated at this gate.

If we plan to stay overnight, what hotels are nearby?

The event hotel partners are the Washington Dulles Marriott, located on the airport grounds, and the Westin Washington Dulles Airport, just a short distance away.
