How do we get there?

Dulles Airport will have a traffic plan in place to maximize access to the free Plane Pull event lot while maintaining routes for airline passengers to reach their flights on time. Electronic signs and personnel will be deployed to keep the traffic moving. Due to the airport roadway configuration, the Dulles Airport Access Highway will likely be the best approach route. Check out our driving map (COMMING SOON!) for added assistance.

  • From 495, take exit VA-267 (toll road) West toward Dulles Airport
  • Exit left onto ramp at sign reading “Dulles Airport”
  • Continue onto the westbound Dulles Airport Access Highway
  • Once on airport grounds, KEEP RIGHT and follow electronic signs on the right to Dulles Day/Plane Pull Event parking
  • The parking lot will include spaces designated for disabled parking
  • Free shuttles will take you from the lot to and from the event. All shuttles are accessible for the disabled

Ride the Silver Line Express train to Dulles Day FOR FREE

Now that Metrorail is closer to Dulles than ever, passengers attending the Dulles Day event can ride the Silver Line to Wiehle-Reston East station and board a FREE bus directly to the event. The regular $5 Silver Line Express service to the airport will be supplemented with FREE nonstop buses dedicated to Dulles Day service. The Dulles Day shuttles will run on September 17 from 9:30 a.m. through the conclusion of the event. Staff members at each location will assist riders in boarding the correct bus.

Where do we go once we arrive?

Patrons who park in the Dulles Day/Plane Pull parking lot will be directed to free shuttle buses that will operate continuously between the lot and the main Dulles Day entrance gate. Buses going back to the lot will also pick up at the main entrance gate.

Volunteers and teams please refer to your informational packets for arrival instructions.
They may enter on foot through gate 116 at the far end of Cargo Building 6. Volunteer and team check in will be situated at this gate.

Vendors/Exhibitors/Car Show participants may enter Dulles Day with their vehicles at gate 118 (between Cargo Buildings 5 and 6). Vendor and Car Show check in will be situated at this gate.

Please be prepared for some delays at the enterance as all attendees need to go through security.

If we plan to stay overnight, what hotels are nearby?
